Forest kinship

"Forest Kinship" reminds you that we are not separate from nature, but part of a living community – interwoven with the beings, plants, and landscapes around us.

This linocut tells of the feeling of peace, security, and belonging that can lie in a deep connection to the natural world. The woman, nestled between foxes and wild herbs, symbolically represents a silent kinship between human, animal, and plant – a mutual trust, far from hierarchy or separation. "Forest Kinship" speaks of closeness, protection, and the ancient feeling of being connected.

This print was particularly inspired by a fox family that has settled very close to my house. Again and again, I get to observe the four young foxes from a respectful distance – small encounters that deeply touch me and remind me how close wild nature actually is to us sometimes, if we remain attentive.

Foxes and native wild herbs interweave here into a silent fabric of warmth, wildness, and security, inviting you to feel like a part of the landscape again.

Each print is handmade and therefore unique. The print is available in three different color variations. You can get it unframed or with a beautiful wooden frame and round passepartout, which further highlights the composition. You can find the frame & passepartout here.
