When the invisible becomes visible
Deeply touched by the nature around me and inspired by the landscape of my soul, I create magical artworks through linocut printing.
I love to make visible things for which there are sometimes no words: a premonition, a feeling, a connection, a moment of wonder. My motifs tell of transformation, inner strength, vulnerability, trust, and of always finding one's own path.
I let myself be inspired by nature, by shapes, stories, and life itself, and I follow my intuition when I work. This is how expressive linocuts are created that may remind you of something that has long been within you.
art.from.ilkas.heart is my small, independent art studio in Bavaria. Since 2018, I have been designing, carving, and printing my works myself – from the first sketch to the finished print.
