Self-Care - Linocut
She feels that her time has come to give herself, softly and comfortingly, clearly and decisively, what she has sought externally for so long. To respect her boundaries. To no longer abandon herself.
This linocut emerged from the experience of repeatedly overstepping one's own boundaries, out of a longing for closeness, out of a desire for connection. And from the realization that it's about taking oneself seriously and trusting oneself.
To feel boundaries, and also to protect them.
To recognize when something is not good, and to have the courage to leave.
And at the same time, this process is a gentle one.
No harsh cut, no struggle against oneself,
but a loving return.
A gentle release from old patterns.
A feeling oneself again.
This flower stands for exactly this process.
For taking back responsibility.
For letting go of the hope that someone else will save us.
And for the decision to lovingly turn to oneself,
not only in easy moments, but especially in difficult ones.
Each print is handmade and bears small, individual marks –
just as this path is not perfect, but alive and real.
May this print remind you to choose yourself.
To respect your boundaries.
And to give yourself what you have sought externally for so long.
The "Self-Care" linocut was printed on handmade paper, which gives each print a special feel and uniqueness.
This print comes unframed.
