Self-Care - Linocut
She feels that her time has come to give herself that which she has sought for so long outside herself – softly and comfortingly, clearly and with determination. To respect her boundaries. To no longer abandon herself.
This linocut arose from the experience of repeatedly exceeding one's own boundaries, out of a longing for closeness, out of a desire for connection. And from the realization that it's about taking oneself seriously and trusting oneself.
To feel boundaries, and to protect them.
To recognize when something is not good, and to have the courage to leave.
And at the same time, this process is a soft one.
No harsh cut, no struggle against oneself,
but a loving return.
A gentle release from old patterns.
A feeling oneself again.
This flower stands for exactly this process.
For reclaiming responsibility.
For letting go of the hope that someone else will save us.
And for the decision to turn to oneself lovingly,
not only in the easy moments, but especially in the difficult ones.
May this print remind you to choose yourself.
To respect your boundaries.
And to give yourself what you have sought for so long outside.
Each print has been printed on handmade paper and bears small, individual marks – just as this path is not perfect, but alive and real.
You can receive it unframed or with a beautiful wooden frame and mat, which further emphasize the composition. You can find the frame & mat here.
