The River Goddess is a prayer for our rivers – a venerable voice for their beauty, their vitality, and their indispensable role in our ecosystem. She reminds us that the rivers flowing through our landscapes are also the lifeblood of our planet.

However, their condition, in Germany and worldwide, is alarming. Many bodies of water are threatened, their clarity clouded, their vitality weakened. The River Goddess calls on us to connect with the waters around us – to perceive them, protect them, and honor them.

She invites us to recognize the beauty and importance of rivers, not only as part of nature, but as an essential component of our home. For only when we hear their voice can we collectively ensure that their currents remain free and vibrant – for us, for nature, and for future generations.
