Moon Garden Linocut Limited Edition

Hand-printed 3-color reduction print

"Moon Garden" is an invitation to embrace quiet moments—to intuition, stillness, and the beauty of what grows in the hidden places.

An image for quiet evenings, soft thoughts, and a home where the night is also allowed to have its place.

About the reduction print
In a reduction print, the motif is created layer by layer. After each color application, the linoleum block is further worked on and parts of the printing surface are carved away before the next color is printed. This process is repeated until the finished motif is created.

The printing plate is irretrievably changed with every step and, in the end, can no longer be used for another print. This is why this technique is also called "suicide print".

Quiet or character piece?

Two very different versions emerged when printing "Moon Garden": some prints are calm and precise, while in others, the individual color layers have shifted slightly.

These small shifts give the character pieces an almost three-dimensional effect and make each of these prints a small unique piece. Both versions have their own special appeal—which one do you like better?

Limited edition of 12 copies in total, numbered and signed.

Each print is handmade and therefore unique. You can receive this print unframed or with a beautiful wooden frame and mat that further highlights the composition. Here you can find the matching frame & mat for the Moon Garden.
